Meet Aymeric Jugan, a materials engineer and the winner of the 2024 "Tremplin Phénix Normandie" award, here to remind us that creativity can be found anywhere, even when you're in the middle of your studies. Along with his fellow bandmates, Guillaume Landicheff and Valentin Barbier (who has replaced the original drummer YunPeng Zou), he is the singer and guitarist of Douche, a local band from Caen best known for its garage pop.
"We have a new song called 'Trouble', which you can stream anywhere; it talks about the difficulty for our generation to find jobs."
Many artists draw inspiration from their day-to-day lives, and DOUCHE is no exception, mixing hardships into the lyrics of their latest release, "Trouble." This catchy song is a great addition to your morning playlist, and more is on the way, according to Aymeric.
"We have an EP (extended play) that we will release on 25th September with six different songs."
So be sure to stay tuned to SINGING IN NORMANDY with Philippe Jautée, you never know what local music you might discover next.
