Recruitment: WRNC is looking for Radio / Web Journalists to join its team of volunteers!

World Radio Normandy Caen is the first 100% English-speaking radio in the region. We broadcast online and on digital radio 24 hours a day, providing a mix of locally sourced content, programming from our partners at World Radio Paris and from radios across the world (including the BBC World Service, ABC Australia, CBC and many more).

We're a community-driven radio station with limited resources but big ambitions. Our goal? To deliver local, engaging and trustworthy news, entertainment and connections to English-speakers in the Normandy region.

About the role

As part of World Radio Normandy Caen's team, you would contribute to the WRNC website by writing thought-provoking, locally sourced news articles and pieces for online publication (WRNC.eu as well as the radio's social media platforms).

As part of this small but passionate team, you would find stories that matter to English-speakers in Normandy, be they tourists or living in the region, and chase down interviews and opportunities to make your coverage shine.

In addition to written content, you will also produce audio news bulletins or explainers for broadcasting on WRNC and our website.

Are you driven by curiosity in day-to-day life? Do you have a good level in both written and spoken English? Do you value well-researched, compelling and thought-provoking news stories and content? Then you're a perfect fit for our team!

As a volunteer for the radio, you are free to commit as little or as much time as you want, with the only goal being that you create something worth sharing! Get valuable experience in journalism, radio and media in general whilst contributing to your local community and making Normandy more accessible to those who speak English as a first language. Create ties and share stories that matter.
