Fire in Hérouville-Saint-Clair: the Pôle de Cohésion Sociale (POCS) building closed for decontamination until further notice

The Pôle de Cohésion Sociale (POCS), a support structure for the people of Hérouville-Saint-Clair, which houses many charitable associations, was the victim of a fire. Thanks to the fire brigade's quick response, the blaze was quickly brought under control. There were no injuries, as no one was inside the building at the time of the incident. One of the organisations based at the address, La Voix Des Femmes, reported on its Instagram page that, whilst the POCS building had been affected, its own offices had sustained no damage. The organisation, however, is unable to access the space due to air pollution.

Meanwhile, the associations will relocate to the neighbouring building, at the Maison des Associations.
