Traffic collision near Caen leaves pedestrian severely injured

At around 7:30 this morning (Thursday, 6th November 2025), the emergency services responded to the scene of a collision in Giberville, near Caen. A vehicle reportedly collided with a pedestrian as he exited from a bakery; he was driven to Caen's CHU hospital by ambulance.

Normandy Beach Race: What we know about the crash so far

Marc Félix (54), one of the Normandy Beach Race's three founding members and key organisers, has died from injuries sustained yesterday during the event. He was the passenger of a 1930s Ford Model A, which was involved in a triple barrel roll. The driver of the vehicle walked away unharmed.
